WhatsApp now allows users to send documents

Yet another feature from our WhatsApp wishlist has made its way to the world's largest instant messaging app.

WhatsApp is now allowing users to share documents with each other. This is however yet to be available to all users and quite like many other features, this is being added to the version of the Android app that can be downloaded directly from its website.

You can download the latest updated Version of WhatsApp by opening the Link below.

But then this doesn't turn WhatsApp into a full-feature file sharing service. While the icon suggests that users can share documents, in our tests it appeared to be limited to PDF files only and didn't even display other document formats - such as .doc, .docx or .txt - among the list of files.

It also doesn't allow to browse through folders on your phone for files and instead displays a list of PDF files. Even there is a search option, but that allows search from only within the list.

Recently WhatsApp upped the size of groups to 256 members. In January this year, it did away with its $1 token annual subscription fee.
